TRITT FAMILY HISTORY - VOL. IV
Volume IV of Tritt Family History will contain material on the family and the large number of descendants of Joseph Tritt (1786 - 1873) and his wife, Catherine Rhodes (1789 - 1869). Joseph was the fifth child of Johann Peter Tritt (1755 - 1839) and Elizabeth LeFevre (1762 - 1835). Joseph and Catherine purchased land from his father and settled in what later became Green Township, Summit County, Ohio. Their children numbered twelve, with ten living to have families of their own.Children of Joseph and Catherine are: Elizabeth Tritt Kepler (1811 - 1886), George (1813 - 1871), Juliann Tritt Buchtel (1815 - 1902), Samuel (1817 - 1891), Joseph (1819 - 1886), Catherine Ann Hennig (1819 - ?), Mary Tritt Boettler (1821 - 1881), Sarah Tritt Workinger (1823 - 1910), Jacob (1831 - 1832), and Lucinda Tritt Wentz (1836 - 1918).

A subgroup of those in attendance at the August 2009 annual meeting in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, have pledged to help Judy prepare written drafts for Volume IV. Following this, and recognizing the large amount of work required to put finishing touches on Volume IV, we invite you to help bring it to fruition. You do not have to be a genealogist; there are many tasks in writing and publishing our books that do not require that. This is expected to be a large volume, so we can use your help.
